Our story
At Montrans Consulting, our story began with the idea that language should not be a barrier for people and organizations to move forward.
What began as a translation and interpretation service gradually took shape over the years, eventually becoming a consultancy that supports brands, institutions, and teams in communicating with clarity, respect, and strategy.
For over 15 years, we've learned that good communication doesn't just convey information; it builds trust, opens opportunities, and creates lasting relationships. That's why we expanded into digital marketing, combining our language expertise with strategies that help businesses better reach their audiences.
Katia Montenegro Hoare, founder and director of Montrans Consulting, is a natural leader who transformed her passion for languages into a life mission: to help companies communicate authentically and expand with a global vision.
Beyond her work at Montrans, Katia leads initiatives dedicated to community and empowerment. She is the founder and president of NIME Belize (International Network of Women in Business) a Non Profit initiative that promotes female leadership, collaboration, and business growth among women in Belize.
Her leadership has received significant recognition. In 2023, she won first place in the "Women Who Boss" competition (organized by Belize's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Taiwan), recognizing her excellence in strategic business planning. Her achievements continue into 2025, including being honoured with The Outstanding Women’s Award 2025 by The National Women’s Commission (NWC) for her commitment to equality and empowerment.
